Single and Double Swing Gates
Simple and reliable. A double swing splits the weight between two posts, which helps on wide openings. You need clear room for the leaves to swing, and a slope across the drive can block an inward swing.

A driveway gate is the biggest moving part on most properties, and the one people notice first when it sags. We build swing and slide driveway gates for Lubbock homes and acreage, sized for pickups, stock trailers, boats and RVs, and we build the posts first because that's where gates fail.

Roll along the fence line on a track or cantilever off rollers with no track at all. A cantilever slide is our usual pick where blowing dirt would fill a track, though it needs open fence line beside the drive about half again as long as the opening.

Steel tube frames with ornamental pickets, cedar faced on a steel frame to match a privacy fence, or R-panel for a solid shop-yard look. Wood frames on a wide gate sag; we frame in steel.
A heavy gate on a light post leans within a year. Gate posts get a heavier wall and a deeper, wider footing than line posts, and on wide swing gates we may add a wheel or a center stop so the latch side isn't hanging on hinges alone. On ground with Pullman or Randall clay, which USDA data rates high for shrink-swell, we go deeper still so the post doesn't heave and throw the latch out of line.
Since September 1, 2025, Texas Property Code §202.023 lets an HOA require a driveway gate to sit at least 10 feet back from the right-of-way where the driveway meets a laned roadway. Even without an HOA, a setback lets you pull a trailer fully off the street before the gate opens. We also check that the gate and posts stay out of the 25-foot vision clearance triangle at corner lots and off the right-of-way.
HomeGuide's 2026 automatic gate guide lists gate prices by width, from $500 to $1,500 for a 10-foot gate up to $2,500 to $6,000 for 18 feet, before any opener. National figures, not our quote.
